Featuring performances from Whipped Cream, Kream and Vasco
Big Beat Records, one of the most prolific labels in electronic dance music (+ home to Galantis, Dog Blood, Ekali, WHIPPED CREAM, Cash Cash, Whethan, The Knocks, Matoma, and more), hosted the exclusive Electric Zoo pre-party at an undisclosed location in Brooklyn on August 29th, featuring performances from artists signed to the label WHIPPED CREAM, KREAM, and Vasco, in partnership with Electric Zoo and media partner EDM.com. Attendees were treated to a taste of what’s to come at Electric Zoo, and just how big of waves Big Beat is making in the world of dance.
The label has been churning out massive records since its start in 1987 and hasn’t slowed down since. Originally founded by 22-year-old New York DJ (and current Chairman & CEO of Big Beat’s parent label Atlantic Records), Craig Kallman, the original house sounds of the label were influenced by New York City's all-encompassing hip hop scene.
Artists that call Big Beat home range from the hardest hitters to the buzziest up-and-coming acts, which has secured the label’s reputation for curating the best talent in dance music.
